Shayna, an employee of Pheasants Forever, is a wildlife biologist who works with both Pine SWCD and the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) out of Hinkley. She has been a part of our team since October, 2023. She works to engage private landowners in the county to conserve natural resources to benefit wildlife species. Although she works for an organization that promotes pheasants and other upland game birds, Shayna's mission is to utilize state and federal programs to protect all wildlife species and their habitat. Shayna has particular interest conserving habitat for both ruffed grouse and sharp-tailed grouse, migratory song birds, and mustelid species like fisher, marten, mink, and weasels.
